Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On April 21st of this year, I will be attempting to once again (having had to defer due to an Achilles injury - that I may have mentioned once or twice!) complete the London Marathon in aid of Dementia UK. I imagine for many of you, the thought of me doing so will bring a combination of shock, disbelief and comedy! For me personally however, it's for the greatest of causes.
In March 2022, my Dad Peter (the happy chap in the picture) sadly passed away after a 10 year battle with this awful disease. The toll Dementia takes on those closest to the patient is unimaginable. In our case, the support Dad was given by Mum, family members and the Care Home, went way beyond any reasonable expectation.
I recognise that many of you supported me previously, for which I am eternally grateful, however anyone wishing to donate this time around, please do so generously for this terrific cause and the amazing work Dementia UK do.
By choosing to support me, you will be making a difference to thousands of carers, families and people living with Dementia across the UK. I'm not sure I'll be doing another one, so this is your chance!!
Thank you so much in advance, any support is hugely appreciated.
Mark.
