Ok, so before anyone says I'm too old to be running (let alone training for) the Manchester Marathon 2025, this mission and cause is just too darn important and close to my heart not to (or at least try to) do it !!

Alongside four other intrepid marathoners from The Housing Network we are going to be tackling the 26.2 mile course (and ahem a few 100 miles of training on the way) to support our charity partner 'More than a Roof' in their mission to raise £25k for 2025 to help make 'moments that matter' !!

Those 'moments that matter' will make it possible for a huge number of those individuals, families and children who are homeless and living in Temporary Accommodation to experience something special, something that we might just take for granted like:

> Buying football kit, so little Billy can get healthier, make friends and develop social skills for later life.

> Funding travel tickets, so Bob can get into town for a job interview to help boost his confidence and start to look beyond being homeless.

> Paying for Wendy to buy a train ticket to go and reconnect with family, to develop support networks and support her mental health.

> Buying text books so Jenny can pursue her ambition of becoming a Social Worker when she leaves school.

The list is almost limitless, but with the help of their Support Workers we will make sure many of those who are homeless and living in Temporary Accommodation get a chance to apply to 'More than a Roof' so they can make 'moments that matter' in 2025 !!
