Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In September I shall be attempting my first Half Marathon, The Great North Run, and to make sure I finish it I thought I should try and raise some money for a good cause. I have also managed to talk my Wife Alison in to taking part, so we can enjoy some quality time together whilst running !!!!

To fill the space between the end of my right leg and the ground I shall be using a BladeXT foot which was kindly supplied by Blatchford

Yes it is only a half marathon, but I shall be 58 by the time I take part, I only took up running 18 months ago, and I do only have one leg, so if anyone feels like sponsoring me that would be much appreciated.

I shall be raising money for the DMRC Benevolent Fund, which is a charity based at Stanford Hall where I work, which arranges and funds holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at DMRC Stanford Hall that are not provided by public funding.

About the charity

The DMRC Benevolent Fund purchases special goods and services for patients' rehabilitation, beyond that which is provided by the public purse. We create opportunities for patients to engage in social activities, which lets them forget about their injuries and rehabilitation for a few hours.
