Story

Thanks for taking time to visit Karl & Mark's JustGiving page for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

The Rust Bucket Rally has been running since 2014 and this year sees +50 teams driving old bangers 2500 miles around Western Europe in 4 days.

Since 2014 the RBR has raised in the region of £300,000 for local charities - and our nominated charity this year is MNDA.

If you take an interest in sport you will know of Rob Burrow, Doddie Weir and Joost van der Westhuizen - these giants of international rugby have all suffered from this awful condition. If you are not familiar with them, please look online to see the strength and courage they have shown, both on and off the field.

MNDA focuses on improving access to care, research and campaigning for people living with or affected by MND and their vision is a world free from MND. Those living with the condition, their families and carers are at the heart of everything they do.

MND is life-shortening and there is no known cure. It affects up to 5,000 adults in the UK at any one time. MND stops the messages from our motor neurones reaching muscles - eventually muscles become weaker and waste, affecting how we walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to MNDA.
