Guide Dogs Puppy Appeal
Campaign by Guide Dogs (RCN Eng. & Wales 209617, Scot. SC038979, & IoM 1334)
Training life-changing dogs, with your support. This year 1300 puppies will start their journey to become a guide dog. This October, we’re asking people to join the pack & support Guide Dogs so that we can raise & train the life-changers of tomorrow.

Story

Every six minutes someone starts to lose their sight in the UK.

Living with sight loss can be incredibly difficult. Without the right support, people can be left feeling alone and isolated. From their friends and family, careers and communities, from the world they knew and the lives they planned.

But our dogs transform the lives of people with vision impairments; being partnered with a guide dog reduces loneliness and enables people with sight loss to get out and live the life they choose.

My close friend, Martin, relies on his guide dog to maintain his standard of independence. Without Vasco, life would be far more difficult for him and his ability to enjoy life would be impaired.

Vasco is an amazing dog and the training required makes a huge difference to anyone who receives a guid dog for the blind.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
