Story

Mike & I are taking on the Lyke Wake Walk Challenge on May 3rd. This is a 41 mile hike across the North Yorkshire Moors, starting at Osmotherly and finishing at Ravenscar. It has to be completed in under 24 hours to be successful. It will be an unsupported crossing.

We are joining Cain's fighting force, fundraising and raising awareness for paediatric brain tumour charity OSCAR's.

I haven’t known Cain long, however his positive, always happy attitude, and work he is doing for York based charity Oscar’s is inspiring. This is after his own personal diagnosis of a stage 4 malignant glioblastoma, a terminal brain tumour.

Any donation towards our walk will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Together we will find a cure and we‘re all stronger together! So as one we are and will be the Fighting Force! We are all coming together as a collective to raise as much funds and awareness as possible for OSCAR’s pediatric brain tumour charity. Taking part in all sorts of crazy challenges and fund raising events, feel free to take part and take on a challenge or an event to raise money for the charity. For further infomation please contact ‘Cain North’ via social media.

About the charity

OSCAR's PBTC was set up in memory of Oscar Hughes, a 9-year-old who died of a brain tumour in 2014. His journey was heartbreaking yet inspiring. OSCAR's aims to provide support and care to children with brain tumours, raise awareness to help diagnosis and fund research into better treatments.
