A year ago, with 70 looming, I stumbled upon a documentary about ‘Wainwright’s Coast to Coast Walk’ and just knew I had to attempt it. When Charlie said he wanted to join me, I knew it was really going to happen. Since then, the impact of planning and preparing for the walk has been life changing.

It has also made me realize that I could be doing a lot more to help change other people’s lives as well. I lost my Mother to Alzheimer’s Disease, and now my sister is battling against it too, so I have decided to try to raise money for two outstanding organizations, one in the UK and one in the USA, who strive every day, to help those confronted by Alzheimer’s.

Both organizations are doing everything they can to bring the threat of this dreadful disease to an end, and to support sufferers and their families, while the hunt for an enduring solution goes on relentlessly.
