VIC’S DANCE WITH CANCER
My Lovely friends and family, please support me on another crazy adventure to help raise money for my friend and legend Vic Irvine, beer brewer of Cerne Abbas and Porsche fan.
Vic and I were friends from school back in the 80s when everything was cool and a mobile phone resembled a Dom Jolly Styled handset accompanied with what was essentially a car battery!
In 2021 whilst in his brewery Vic noticed his energy levels were declining, expecting it to be nothing more than pleurisy, had his lung drained. However, receiving a diagnosis on 22 June 2021 would change Vic and his family’s lives forever as he was told he had stage 4 lung cancer which was inoperable.
Now a lot of people have been met with this sad news, having to tell friends and family and not knowing whether he will see his kids grow up would give up and fall into a pit of despair, but not Vic, He decided to dance with Cancer as he couldn’t beat it.
Out of the darkness ‘Vic be Victorious’ was born which is there to help people in any way he can with Podcasts about his cancer journey which makes you laugh, cry and everything in between.
To show my support, on the 25th August, I will be strapped upright on a plane wing flying over Kent to raise money for the Robert White Legacy fund, which has helped him and countless others meeting this difficult period of their lives. The event itself has been paid for so all proceeds will go to the cause.
Not only does Vic have a great sense of humour and endless compassion for others, but he is also a great father and husband. Most of all Vic is a real force for good and one of the finest human beings I have met.
