Story
The Rotary Club of Henley on Thames is supporting Prostate Cancer UK in their important work by organising a sponsored walk.
Prostate Cancer UK has a simple ambition - to stop men dying from prostate cancer. Through shifting the science over the next 10 years to focus on radical improvements in diagnosis, treatment, prevention and support they aim to stop prostate cancer from being a killer.
Earlier this year, one of our friends in our Rotary Club fought his battle with prostate cancer and will be on the walk which is planned for Sunday 8th September 2024 commencing at 10.30am. It is a 3 mile pre-defined route and will set off from the Bottle and Glass Inn which is located at Bones Lane, Binfield Heath, Henley on Thames, Oxon, RG9 4JT

In order that we can ensure the smooth execution of the event we do need to know who is going to join us on the walk. An Eventbrite page has been set up so that people can show their support and walk with us. A donation of £10 + admin fee for adults and £5 + admin fee for those under 16 is being asked from those wishing to walk. All the cash donations made to the Eventbrite page will go to Prostate Cancer UK. The link is here:-

There is parking at the Bottle and Glass Inn and after your walk you may wish to consider having lunch there - booking a table is advised.
The whole point of the walk is to raise awareness and cash for Prostate Cancer UK. Please consider donating to our Just Giving page and ask your family and friends to do the same.
