This is an opportunity to help local children with special educational needs. Amaze is a fantastic charity that needs our support.

Since my 30 mile sponsored walk at school in 1971 (to raise money to build squash courts, for goodness sake) my charity efforts have been few.

In November, I'm taking part in the Firewalk for Amaze. I'll be putting my life and soles into this.

Amaze is a charity that gives information, advice and support to families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in Brighton & Hove and Sussex. They also support young people with SEND up to 25.

I'll be walking over hot coals and hoping to raise a nominal £350, but hopefully much more.
