Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the fundraiser page set up in memory of our beloved colleague, friend and family member, our beloved headteacher, Sue Ferguson.

Sue's family have requested that should you wish to make a donation towards charities and institutions (in lieu of any flowers) to two charities that Mrs Ferguson was passionate about and who were at the centre of her care:

Friends of Royal Marsden Chelsea

and

St Luke’s Hospice, Basildon.

If you donate via this link then you will be donating to the "Friends of Royal Marsden, Chelsea".

The Royal Marsden hospital staff went above and beyond and were so kind and helped with Sue's battle with cancer, through making it as joyful (and bearable) as possible even though they were some tough times.

So if you donate via this link, JustGiving will send your money directly to the hospital's charity (Friends of the Royal Marsden Chelsea).

If you wish to also (or instead) donate to St Luke's Hospice based in Basildon - then please search "Sue Ferguson - EWPS" on the Just Giving pages.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.

So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

For almost 90 years, the Friends of The Royal Marsden, Chelsea has been supporting the work of the hospital in its treatment and care of patients and families affected by cancer by providing funds for the purchase of equipment, services and amenities for the benefit of patients, their carers and staff. They also provide hands on voluntary support with almost 150 volunteers who annually, contribute around 20,000 hours of their time in various areas of the hospital. In 2019 the Friends was awarded The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, the highest award given to any voluntary group in the UK.
