I am delighted to be back running the first leg for one of Showcase’s Edinburgh Marathon Relay Teams. I have performed with Showcase for a number of years whose primary role is to raise funds for Macmillan through performing an annual show in the theatre, Spring and Christmas concerts and other fundraising activities, such as taking part in the Edinburgh Marathon Festival.

In recent times, the scourge of cancer has taken two of my close friends and I have become keenly aware of the incredible work which Macmillan does, particularly in giving people with cancer and their families such invaluable help. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes. But without your help, Macmillan can’t support everyone who needs them.
