Story

My beautiful granddaughter Rosie was taken ill early in 2023 and diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, just 3 months before her second birthday. This condition is extremely rare for somebody of Rosie's age and whilst manageable with the appropriate medication and support, is currently incurable and life changing.

Since then, Rosie has been adapting to living with type 1, supported by her wonderful parents Chloe and Rickie. They never complain and deal with the daily challenges they face in such a positive way to ensure Rosie has the happiest and most normal life possible.

JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) is a charitable organisation dedicated to supporting sufferers and their families whilst undertaking medical research to provide new ways to manage and hopefully one day provide a cure.

I will be running the London Marathon on 21st April 2024 (my first and last !) to raise as much money as possible to support this amazing charity for Rosie, other children and their families impacted by this disease. Any contribution you can make will be greatly appreciated.
