Story

On April 21st I will be running the London Marathon, in memory of my late wife Hilary.

Hilary collapsed at work on the 22nd of May 2023, and thanks to the rapid response and expertise of her work colleagues and the EAAA, we as a family were able to spend a further 5 weeks with her before she sadly passed at Addenbrookes Hospital.

East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) is a 365-day-a-year helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) covering Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk. We exist to save lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air to seriously ill or injured people in the region. We do not receive regular direct government funding and the £17 million we need to raise this year comes directly from charitable donations. We are only kept airborne thanks to our incredible supporters. Thank you.
