Rydym yn codi arian at dair elusen wnaeth ein helpu ni gael ein merch fach gref, benderfynol a dewr adre’. Yn dilyn diagnosis torcalonnus tra'n 28 wythnos beichiog, cawsom ddwy lawdriniaeth cyn-geni ym Mryste, cyn dod i benderfyniad anodd yn 31 wythnos i'w geni hi'n gynnar mewn cyflwr difrifol a hynny mewn ysbyty arbenigol ym Mryste.

Ar ôl 6 wythnos yn NICU, St Michael's Bryste, gyda Mari ar beiriant anadlu yn derbyn nifer fawr o driniaethau a sawl diwrnod tywyll, daeth Mari drwyddi, diolch i’r gofal arbennig y cafodd hi yno gan yr arbenigwyr. Doedd dim modd i ni gael ein cwtsh cyntaf gyda hi tan ei bod hi’n 5 wythnos oed. Yn 6 wythnos oed, daeth Mari dros y gwaethaf a chawsom ddod nôl i Gymru, ond nid adre eto. Treuliom 6 wythnos arall rhwng NICU Ysbyty Singleton a SCBU Ysbyty Glangwili yn derbyn triniaethau a gofal, ac yn araf bach, gostyngwyd yr angen am gymorth anadlu a meddyginiaeth cryf, wedi iddi sefydlu bwydo, cawsom ni’n tri ddod adre bron i dri mis yn ddiweddarach.

*Mari Glyn ein gwyrth fach ni, rwyt ti'n anhygoel*

Mae ein diolch i'r NHS yn ddiddiwedd. Mae eu gallu, sgil a'u caredigrwydd wedi achub ein teulu bach ni.

Rydym felly wedi penderfynu codi arian at dair elusen gwbl anhygoel wnaeth helpu ni drwy ein cyfnodau tywyllaf er mwyn iddyn nhw allu parhau i gynnig y gofal gorau posib i fabis a rhieni mewn sefyllfaoedd tebyg.

Between August 1-4, 2024 Carwyn, Mari Glyn's father, and a group of supporters will run from St Michael's Hospital, Bristol, all the way home to Llangynnwr. They will pass the three hospitals that saved Mari's life following a difficult start and will run 'Mari Glyn’s Journey Home'.

We are raising money for three charities that helped us get our strong, determined, and brave little girl home. Following a heartbreaking diagnosis while 28 weeks pregnant, we had two antenatal procedures in Bristol, before coming to a difficult decision at 31 weeks to deliver her early in a critical condition in a specialist hospital in Bristol.

After 6 weeks in NICU, St Michael's Bristol, with Mari on a ventilator receiving a large number of treatments and several dark days, Mari pulled through, thanks to the special care she received there from the specialists. We couldn't have our first cuddle until she was 5 weeks old. At 6 weeks old, Mari got over the worst and we were able to come back to Wales, but not home yet. We spent another 6 weeks between Singleton Hospital's NICU and Glangwili Hospital's SCBU receiving treatments and care, and slowly, reducing the need for breathing support and strong medication and when she established feeding, the three of us were able to come home almost three months later.

*Mari Glyn our little miracle, you are amazing*

Our gratitude to the NHS is endless. Their ability, skill and kindness have saved our little family.

We have therefore decided to raise money for three absolutely amazing charities that helped us through our darkest times so that they can continue to offer the best possible care to babies and parents in similar situations.

This is a pge to raise money towards NICU Singleton Family Accommodation. Feel free to choose one or give a little to two or all three:

- Swansea Bay Health Charity - Singleton Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit accommodation, Swansea. This is the highest level Neonatal Intensive Care centre in South West Wales and the accommodation that is there for families at the moment is in a serious state and the money raised would go towards refurbishing it's 5 accommodation houses that will have a huge impact on the well-being of families during the most stressful and unexpected time in their lives.

- Cots for Tots – https://www.justgiving.com/page/mariglyncotsfortots-1708174610451 A dedicated charity for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael's Hospital, Bristol which offers free accommodation and care packages for families to be able to stay close to their babies who are in the NICU. The charity has worked tirelessly to provide life-saving equipment, cots and new facilities for sick and premature babies from the South West of England and South Wales.

- Hywel Dda Charities - SCBU Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen.

https://www.justgiving.com/page/mariglynglangwili-1708175933696 The unit in Carmarthen includes 1 stabilisation cot, 4 high dependency cots and 8 special care cots. Having first class care in our communities is key and therefore we are raising money for this charity to support the important services SCBU Glangwili provides in our local area.

Mari is now going from strength to strength and continues to receive special care from Glangwili Children's Centre, over two years since she stole her father's birthday on the 22nd of December. We are extremely grateful for the care Mari received from the NHS in England and Wales and the associated charities that looked after us as parents to enable us to be by Mari's side every step of the way.
