Story

My earliest memories are ones of my Dad hooked up to a Chemo drip being treated for Hodgkin’s Disease, that was his first cancer. I was 6 years old, the memories are vague but that image of my Dad waving goodbye to me after visiting him are images imprinted in my memories.

Little did I know, that for the next 17 years, I would have to watch my Dad go through countless treatments of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy.

My Dad suffered from multiple cancers. Growing up living each day at a time, being told so many times that my Dad only had months to live, was horrible. Then each time, he would say, this disease is not getting me yet, and his positivity, courage and determination to live got him through.

Unfortunately though, the cancer over time spread so viciously and affected multiple organs he could no longer fight it.

As a child, I grew up always worried that I would lose my Dad at a young age, and unfortunately, 5 days after my 23rd birthday my Dad passed away at St Luke’s.

I cannot even begin to say how amazing the staff at St Luke’s were, not just looking after him but looking after me, Mum and my brother too.

So, next year, on 12th July 2025, exactly 20 years after losing my Dad and after my first skydive raising money for St Luke’s, I have decided to do it again, so I am doing another skydive to commemorate his 20 years since passing away, and to raise money for St Luke’s for their forever amazing care.

I am reaching out and asking for any donations that can help this amazing charity who do so much for so many families. Any penny you can donate would be greatly appreciated and would help so many people.

Thank you so much for your support ❤️
