Story
Sadly, on the 16th December 2024 I delivered our baby boy, Isaac James, at 16 weeks pregnant after his heart stopped beating the week before. The physical and emotional toll this has taken has been massive. I am lucky that I can take as much sick leave as I need to recover, but many women and their partners are still expected to return to work as though nothing had happened. The Miscarriage Association is working hard to change this, as well as providing support for many in their hour of need.
As part of my recovery, this January, I’m taking on the Miscarriage Association’s #StepUpforMiscarriage challenge by pledging to walk 250,000 steps – one step for each of the 250,000 pregnancies estimated to end in miscarriage, molar, or ectopic pregnancy in the UK every year.
I’m proud to be part of Team M.A, raising awareness about pregnancy loss, sharing the vital support services the charity offers, and raising funds to ensure they can continue to be there for those who need them most.
Every donation helps the Miscarriage Association support people through the hardest of times, providing comfort, guidance, and a knowledge for those affected by pregnancy loss.
Thank you for helping me #StepUpForMiscarriage
