Story
Join me as I take on the London Marathon 2024 to raise vital funds and awareness for people living with epilepsy. I am doing this in memory of my close friend Jay, who passed away two years ago. He was diagnosed with epilepsy, but did not let this condition stop him making the most of life. Jay brought a lot of light and energy in my life and had a positive impact on every person he met. Jay introduced me to road cycling, encouraged me to challenge myself when running and in many other areas of my life, and taught me how to live life in the present. He was ready to learn about different cultures, to experience new things and he was a natural at bringing people together.
Through him, I learned about this condition and what life-saving actions I can take when someone has a seizure. Like many others, I was not aware of this condition before I met Jay at university. Did you know that over 626,000 people in the UK are affected by epilepsy, including more than 50,000 children?
I hope to raise money for an amazing charity, Epilepsy Action that helps so many people having this condition and their families and friends. This was also Jay's parents choice of charity when their beloved son passed away.
Through Epilepsy Action, a charity that offers a range of advice, information and practical support, I also hope to raise awareness of this condition both in the UK and in Romania.
By supporting me in this marathon, you'll be helping Epilepsy Action continue providing essential services to even more people living with epilepsy. I am honoured to represent such a great charity at the London Marathon. This event will bring strong memories of runs, rides and walks with my friend Jay. Running with thousands of people from all over the world is the best way I can think of celebrating Jay's life and keep his memory alive.
My fundraising target is £2,200. Every donation counts towards making a difference in someone's life. Let's come together as a community and show our support for those living with epilepsy.

Thank you!
