Flash floods across Pakistan have killed more than 1000 people and destroyed more than a million homes. Help us provide emergency kits for people affected buy these monsoon rains.

Story

I am excited to choose IDRF as my charity partner for this year's Ramadan fundraising campaign. This year, I am raising funds to support IDRF's flood response relief in Pakistan.

The devastating floods have left many communities in a state of disrepair, causing immense damage to infrastructure and livelihoods. The people affected are in dire need of our support to rebuild and recover from this catastrophe.

The Situation

The monsoon season may be over in Pakistan, but the aftermath of the heavy rains continue to affect the country as flood water remains in many areas. The floods have caused widespread destruction.

Housing and agriculture are among the worst affected, with more than 9 million additional people estimated to be pushed into poverty unless provided with support to restore their livelihoods.

How is IDRF helping

In response, IDRF is providing immediate emergency response kits, which include food, water and hygiene kits to families and individuals whose lives have been adversely affected by the drastic floods. Through IDRFs rapid response, those in need will be given hygiene items, and food parcels to alleviate the food insecurity caused by the flooding.

Phase 2: Rebuild and Recover

Building off of their initial emergency response, IDRF will is working to rebuilding the infrastructure of communities. This includes shelter rehabilitation, creating temporary learning shelters, and medical support for expecting mothers.

$ 400

For only $ 400 you can build a semi-permanent bamboo shelter in Sindh. Each bamboo shelter contains two rooms and comes equipped with a washroom. The residents themselves will be paid to build the shelters, providing families with safe housing and a source of income for the community.

By donating to this cause, we can make a real difference in the lives of families impacted by the floods. Your contribution will go towards providing food, shelter, clean water, and other basic necessities to those who have lost everything.

I am committed to making a meaningful impact through this fundraising campaign and hope that you will join me in supporting this cause. Together, we can help bring hope and relief to those in need during this blessed month.
