South Downs 80km Walk · 13 June 2024

We are a national charity providing support to the farming community in England & Wales

Story

This year the Tesco produce team alongside our service providers AMT,dps & G's are undertaking a challenging walk across the South Downs to fundraise money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI).

The team will be walking a massive 80km(50 miles) across the South Downs on the 13th & 14th Junes - roughly the length of two marathons and includes 3,500 feet ascent over the walk.

RABI’s goal is that no-one from the farming community should face adversity alone. Farmers deliver an essential service: producing food for the nation. However, being a farmer can be isolating and challenging, even after retiring.

Our support is tailored to the individual. We offer free counselling, practical and financial support to farming people. Our grant programmes and emergency support help people through a crisis. Our regional support managers provide practical advice and are a friendly face and a listening ear when things are tough.
