Story

Having completed (very slowly) the virtual London marathon the past few years (along the towpath from Grantchester to Littleport with the dog), I have a ballot place this year so will be in London (again running v slowly....). I am supporting two charities - Teenage Cancer Trust and Cambridge Global Health.

Years ago I ran in London for the Teenage Cancer Trust as I see many wonderful young girls and women as patients who have survived cancer and am keen to again support this worthwhile charity (TCT).

I have also been working with Cambridge Global Health Partnerships (CGHP) in Uganda and here in Cambridge, which is a charitable organisation committed to improving healthcare globally. CGHP was born out of the belief that health should not be predetermined by where we live. Since 2007, we have been strengthening healthcare in low/middle-income countries (LMIC) settings through health partnerships.

CGHP functions as a linked charitable programme within Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) so money donated via ACT will go to CGHP.

If you feel able to support me - do give to either charity or if you don't specify it will be split equally between them both.

THANK YOU for considering.....

About the campaign

About the charity

We want to ensure that every patient at Addenbrooke's and the Rosie hospitals experiences the highest quality of care available. We raise funds for cutting edge technology, additional specialist staff and extra comforts for patients, over and above what is possible with NHS funding alone.
