Story
I am running the London Marathon to raise money for Horsfall House, a not-for-profit nursing home in Minchinhampton where Kat's father, Glyn, has been a resident for approximately a year after being diagnosed with multiple forms of Dementia, including Dementia with Parkinson's in 2022, at the young age of 61. Those of you familiar with Dementia will know the ugly presentation at the later stages, requiring around-the-clock care and support with even basic functions. We don't know how much time we have left, but we do have wonderful memories that will endure.
Glyn and Claire have welcomed me into their family, and shown me nothing but kindness and generosity from the day Kat introduced us almost nine years ago, a debt I will never be able to repay but will always be thankful for.
I am extremely grateful to have the opportunity to support Horsfall House by running the London Marathon. The care and support their wonderful staff have provided to the immediate family, close friends, and of course Glyn himself, has had a huge impact through these testing times.
Any donations big or small would be hugely appreciated. A warm and sincere thank you from myself and the Thomas family.
