Story
Hey folks,
I'm now in the last year of my PhD, and I'm committed to my annual challenges for charity. I'll be running a series of challenges across Scotland including:
• The Newhaven Lighthouse 10k (Sunday April 28th) ✅
• MacTuff Spring Fife 10k Obstacle Course Challenge (Sunday May 12th) ✅
• Stride for Palestinians (150k, May 15th - June 15th) ✅
• Edinburgh Marathon (Sunday May 26th) ❌ (🤒 Tonsilitis)
• Scottish Half Marathon (Sunday August 18th) ✅
• Linlithgow 10k (Sunday September 29th) ✅
• AJ Bell Great Scottish Run (Sunday October 6th) ✅
Once again, I'll be running at least 1 mile for every pound donated, hoping to raise £500 for Medical Aid for Palestinians (https://www.map.org.uk/). MAP works for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees, providing immediate medical aid to those in need, and working to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.
The ongoing conflict in Gaza has resulted in 22,000 dead and 2 million displaced Palestinian people. The need for medical aid only increases in the wake of almost 600 attacks against important medical infrastructure. Donating to MAP and other charities working in Palestine is the most direct contribution you can make towards the health and well-being of the Palestinian people.
I hope you'll join me in doing what you can and please reach out if you'd like to join my team for any event. Cheers, Pat.
