Story
I am running again for a charity I supported on my last marathon running 2013. Now 11 years later I am taking this on again to support the amazing work the NSPCC undertake in ensuring all children have access to support and somebody that can help them deal with whatever they are battling and make them feel heard. I know from recent experience even the most loved of children, in safe secure families, struggle to deal with mental health issues resulting in the most tragic of outcomes. They needed help as do those that don't have empathetic support networks that can help in practical and life changing ways. That's why I am proud to be running for this cause. See below what every £££ you donate helps achieve...
Thank you for your support with my 2024 London Marathon challenge! All funds raised will go to Childline - a life-saving NSPCC service.
Childline is the NSPCC'S free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people. The service offers confidential support for every child, whenever they need it.
2 children a minute contact Childline for help. And it costs £4 to answer their call. By raising £2,200, this could pay for up to 550 children to get the help and support they need from our Childline counsellors. If I exceed this and raise £3,000, this number increases to 750 children.
I know these are tough times for all of us but every £ you donate helps me with every metre of pain I will have to endure. Knowing you are supporting me and this cause helps not only get me round, but many many more young lives.
