Story
September is 🎗Childhood Cancer Awareness Month 🎗 ManRaj is currently battling Acute Lymphocytic Leukaemia (ALL), a cancer of the blood. He was diagnosed in Feb 2023 and is currently undergoing treatment.
This year, we want to raise awareness about the importance of research in childhood cancer.
In 1977, childhood cancer survival rates were around 2 in 10. Fast-forward 47 years to today and survival rates are around 8 in 10. This amazing progress is driven by research.
Research has led not only to more effective treatments, but kinder treatments that have fewer harsh side effects and long-term effects (also known as late effects). ManRaj is part of the ALLTogether trial. An international clinical study focused on optimising and personalising treatment protocols to enhance outcomes and minimise side effects.
To help spread awareness about the importance of research in childhood cancer this September, ManRaj is raising money for the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group by selling gold ribbon badges, the international symbol for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
Please, help support ManRaj and help raise awareness. If you would like a badge, please get in touch and we will arrange to send these out.
