Alright, Mango is ready to take on not one, but two exciting challenges—and we need your help to make it all happen! We’ve teamed up with Air Ambulance Northern Ireland to raise vital funds for their life-saving service, and we’re going all-in. This year, we’re taking part in the Dragon Boat Race and a Marathon Relay in the Belfast City Marathon. And while we’re sure we’ll be sore, tired, and maybe a little bit wet, it’s all for an amazing cause.

The Challenges:

Belfast City Marathon Relay: Running 26 miles sounds like a lot, right? Well, we’re kind of running that distance. On the 4th of May, our team will be tackling it as a relay, meaning we’ll each be passing the baton and doing our part to cover the full marathon. We’re aiming to smash it out of the park, but honestly, we might be more focused on surviving the run without collapsing.

Dragon Boat Race: Yep, you read that right. On the 5th of September we’re hopping into those giant, paddle-powered boats, and attempting not to capsize while racing across the water. We’re not saying we’re experts, but we’re definitely committed to making it as fun (and maybe slightly ridiculous) as possible.

So, why are we doing this? Air Ambulance NI provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for Northern Ireland, bringing emergency medical care to those in critical need. They’re up in the air seven days a week, 12 hours a day, racing against time to save lives—and they can reach anywhere in Northern Ireland in about 25 minutes. It’s a pretty incredible service, but it doesn’t come cheap. They need to raise £2 million every year to keep the helicopters flying.

That’s where we come in. We're determined to raise as much as we can, so Air Ambulance NI can continue saving lives, no matter the time of day or how tough the conditions are.
