Story
I would not jump out of a plane for a million pound I always said….. however, I will jump out of a plane to raise as much money as I possibly can in Josh’s memory, raising money for the most fantastic cause, despite my morbid fear of heights 😳
On Saturday 8th June, alongside my gorgeous niece Nicole, I will be facing my fear, as Josh did with courage and positivity for several years, and hopefully skydiving my way to a huge amount of money which will benefit anyone diagnosed with this cruel and devastating disease.
So please join me in raising very important funds needed to help save current and future patients.
Obviously I will not be jumping alone, there will be ‘three of us in this relationship’ as I know 100% that along with my very important instructor Josh will be holding my hand, guiding me home, reassuring me with a “I got you Mand, come on let’s go…….”
This fund has been set up in loving memory of Josh Hillier - aka 'Mr. Josh' to continue the fantastic fund raising efforts of his amazing friends and family.
Josh was diagnosed with acute Leukaemia in December 2020 and spent the next two and a half years battling this disease. Josh fought with courage, dignity, resilience, integrity and always with a sense of humour!
Josh was and is loved by so very many people, he is an amazing inspiration for many and despite his own illness, he never moaned, complained or whinged, instead he spent his many long stays in hospital helping others and supporting the mental health of people he knew going through similar adversity.
Due to the length of time that was spent both as an in patient and out patient, the Royal Marsden Hospital in Sutton became like a second home to us and the fabulous team treating Josh were like family.
