My lovely friend Gareth & Nicky lost their son Gethin before Christmas 2022 just before his 15th Birthday. He was such a lovely chap with a fabulous sense of humour. He’d survived against all odds having been born 4months early together with his twin brother.

His family are raising funds for Oxford Hospitals Charities because of all the help they have had from them through his life.

Eventually after much physio (and grumbling!) I have pieced my ageing body together and am ready to take on a challenge on their behalf.

I’ll be doing a ‘deconstructed’ half iron man …120km Tour of the Borders Etape Sunday 3rd, Scottish Half marathon Sunday 24th and a 1.9km swim …the final leg will be by myself as I haven’t found an event to join yet!
