Story
I've decided to take on the London Marathon in 2025 and run to support the wonderful people at Guy's Cancer Charity! By donating you’re not just encouraging me to reach the finish line, but you're also contributing to the exceptional healthcare provided by Guy's Cancer Charity. Your donation will support the incredible NHS staff who work tirelessly to fight cancer and improve the lives of their patients.
Cancer is a disease that has touched many lives. In the UK, a person is diagnosed with cancer approximately every 90 seconds. Even if you’ve been fortunate enough not to be directly affected, it’s likely you know someone who has.
I’ve had the privilege of working with the remarkable team at Guy’s Cancer Charity for five years and even got to work with a couple of their clinical team. During this time, I’ve witnessed the world-class care and groundbreaking clinical research they provide. They’re not just offering care, but also pioneering treatment protocols that become recognised globally as standard treatments.
Your donations will ensure that everyone receives personalised care tailored to their unique needs. This will enable our brilliant doctors, nurses, and clinical researchers to continue their transformative work.
Every penny of your donation will make a difference:
£10 could facilitate a virtual support group session, allowing patients and carers to share their cancer experiences from the comfort of their own home.
£50 could provide a comforting care package for someone receiving end-of-life care, helping to alleviate symptoms and soothe fears.
£150 could offer expert welfare and benefits advice to a patient facing financial hardship, enabling them to focus on their recovery.
£350 can contribute to the latest surgical robotic technology, allowing expert surgeons to operate with greater precision, help patients recover quickly and return to their families sooner.
If you’d like to learn more about the work of Guy’s Cancer Charity, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can also follow my progress on Strava and give me that much-needed kudos. Thank you so much for your support!
