Story
Hi, my name is Maisie Trim. I’m ten years old and obsessed with horses and donkeys. I find it so sad to hear that some are not treated with kindness and are unable to have the care they need.
A couple months ago, I visited World Horse Welfare and it inspired me to want to help horses who need to be rehomed for various reasons. This could be due to the owners no longer being able to look after them, or they may have been abandoned, mistreated or even smuggled!
At the end of May, two horses very close to my heart, Harry and Lilac, sadly passed away. They were very well cared for and lived long and happy lives thanks to the love and attention they received. I believe it is every horse and donkey's right to be happy, well cared for and treated with respect. For anyone who has spent time with horses you will know that they are very special and intelligent animals.
To do my part, on the 10th August I’m doing a ten mile sponsored walk from Gillingham to King Alfred’s tower, finishing by climbing the 205 steps to the top of the tower! I hope you will consider donating to help me raise money for this very worthy cause.
Thank you
Maisie
