Story
In July 2023, a group of 60 riders will take on the ultimate challenge: an epic Waterloo (London) to Waterloo (Belgium) cycle! The 222 mile, 3 day cycle will pass through Dover, Dunkirk, Ypres and Kortrijk before arriving on the Waterloo battlefield, where the charity Waterloo Uncovered have been helping veterans achieve recovery through discovery since 2015.
We would argue that "riders" is very bold statement for Sam and I to be making. A commuter cyclist more adept at tackling London buses than mass distance and a cyclist who has - and I quote - "never ridden on the roads before"... What we do have plenty of is determination and a stubbornness to finish! Please help fuel our training miles by donating to this amazing cause.
Waterloo Uncovered is the groundbreaking charity combining a world-class archaeological project on the Waterloo battlefield with expert veteran care and recovery. Each year they continue to grow and expand our scope of work, all while using archaeology as our primary tool to improve the wellbeing, education and recovery of veterans and serving personnel, many of whom have experienced mental or physical impacts from their service.
Help those who served their country when they need it the most by donating to my challenge today. Find out more about Waterloo Uncovered's work here: www.waterloouncovered.com
