Following my sister-in-law Louise being diagnosed and treated for breast cancer this year, I've decided to get off my ass and give something back and so I am fundraising for Breast Cancer UK by trekking up Ben Nevis overnight

This event was picked by her husband Stuart and I've decided that I should keep him company on the 18km hike!

The Ben Nevis at Night Trek sees me conquer the tallest mountain in the UK, but with a difference. I’ll be setting off at night-time and the trek will follow the route as it zig-zags its way to the summit in time to witness a breath-taking sunrise (weather permitting!) across the Scottish Highlands on the descent.

The trek will be challenging; however, I’ll be accompanied by experienced mountain leaders supporting me every step of the way and will return with memories to last a lifetime as well as no injuries!

I've not done anything like this before, but those of you you who know me, know I love a good trek rather than sitting around doing nothing.
