We Volunteer to Save Lives

Story

I am thrilled to share that I will be embarking on walking my final munro on Saturday, August 17, 2024, as I take on Braeriach in the Cairngorms. For years, the mountains have been my obsession and sanctuary. I even sold my car to get a campervan to aid my quest of conquering each of these 282 glorious mountains. I waited until this year to "compleat" this journey so that I could have my loyal companion Flo with me, having done the majority of my hill days with Willow who is scattered in the hills. Scottish Mountain Rescue relies solely on donations to operate. Their volunteers dedicate precious hours of their lives to keep us safe in the hills, rescues can last for hours or days and require significant manpower. Therefore, I feel compelled to give back in any way I can. If you would like to contribute, no amount is too small as every little bit helps. I have set a modest target but would love to beat it. My hope is for many others to enjoy the mountains and stay safe in our beautiful country. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them or send unwanted emails.
