Story

This year Dave’s Anniversary Walk will mark 7 years since he passed.

We want to do something different to the regular Panorama walk. We want push it that bit further.

We are walking from Llandudno to Nightingale House Hospice in Wrexham on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th August.

That’s 2 marathons in 2 days ❤️🙌 and a little bit extra 🤩 55 miles to be precise !

I attended the official opening of the newly refurbished hospice on Tuesday. Included in the tour was a visit to the hydrotherapy pool. For those that remember, the hydrotherapy pool was the very reason Dave and I were first referred to the hospice.

When you are a fit man and then you become paralysed and then you have that feeling of exercise and movement while you are in the pool, imagine that just for a moment , that’s what happened to Dave. ❤️

As you can imagine the cost to keep the hydrotherapy pool running is far beyond anything the hospice receives in funding.

Who wants to help me keep it running?!

I want to mark Dave’s 7th year of passing by focusing his anniversary fundraiser specifically for this cause.

Our aim is to raise £10,000.

Please let me know if you would like to get involved. Do however many miles you wish at any location you wish or join us for a stretch of the walk.

All I would ask is that you tag our page or create your own page specifically for this cause.

Loads of love ❤️

For over 25 years staff here at Nightingale House Hospice have created an environment that gives patients and their loved ones quality time to spend together. Not having to worry about the care a loved one receives, knowing they are in safe hands means every second spent together is dignified and peaceful. Without support such as yours, our specialist palliative care units wouldn’t be able to deliver such high standards.
