I am incredibly lucky to have been given a place in the London Marathon 2025! I will be running for the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK 🧡

MDUK are massively close to my heart. It’s been over a year now since my 5 year old twin nephews, Adam and Daniel, were both diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a muscle wasting condition. Currently there is no cure for DMD, and without treatment, they will likely be in wheelchairs by the time they are teenagers. They will lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, and even breathe for themselves if a cure is not found. Their life expectancy is a heartbreaking 27 years old (the same age as me when I run in 2025).

This has obviously been devastating for our family, we cannot bear the thought of what the future holds for our beautiful boys. We want to do anything we can to support this amazing charity, to help treatments be discovered, and a cure to be found as soon as possible so that Adam and Daniel can have the best chance at a long and prosperous life.

And what better way to do this than the London Marathon 🏃🏼‍♀️‍➡️ This will be my first ever marathon and it’s going to be tough, so I’m going to need all the encouragement I can get!

All the money raised will go directly to MDUK, and will help fund pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals like Adam and Daniel living with these conditions.
