Story
This year, LWVAAC, community partners and county government have come together in support of several initiatives to increase the supply of affordable housing in Anne Arundel County. While this progress is encouraging and vital, it doesn't provide shelter for our neighbors in need today.
The Light House offers our most vulnerable residents a place of belonging, opportunity, essential services and hope. Recent years have seen an unprecedented increase in individuals and families unable to afford basic needs such as food, adequate housing, and medication. Light House homelessness prevention and support programs serve over 100 community members each day.
Please help our neighbors in need by giving generously to LWVAAC's annual community charity drive. We also hope you will show your support in person and celebrate the season with us at a buy-your-own breakfast at the Light House Bistro on Saturday, December 2 at 9 a.m. RSVP here.
