Story
Hi, I’m Luke, and this Christmas, I’m volunteering with Crisis, the national charity dedicated to helping people experiencing homelessness. I’ll be giving my time on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day to help provide warmth, food, and support to those in need—and I’m asking for your help in raising funds to support this vital work.
Why I’m Supporting Crisis:
Christmas is often a time of celebration and joy, but for many people, it can be a time of isolation, hardship, and uncertainty. Each year, thousands of people in the UK face homelessness, many of whom are sleeping on the streets or in unsafe conditions. I’ve always felt strongly that everyone deserves a safe and warm place to call home, especially during the holidays.
Volunteering with Crisis is a way for me to give back, to make sure that those without a home have a place to go where they can receive support, care, and most importantly, hope. The work that Crisis does to provide food, shelter, healthcare, and companionship over the festive season—and throughout the year—is something I truly believe in, and I want to do everything I can to help.
The Impact of Your Donation:
Your support will make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most. Every penny donated helps fund Crisis’ life-changing work, including providing:
Hot meals, shelter, and a safe environment for people who would otherwise spend Christmas on the streets
Access to support services that help people build a better future—whether it’s finding permanent accommodation, training for employment, or accessing mental health care
A sense of dignity, kindness, and community during a time when many people feel forgotten and alone
Even a small donation can go a long way in helping to ensure that Crisis can continue providing these essential services. Whether you can give £5 or £50, your contribution will help make a real difference to someone’s life.
Why I’m Volunteering:
I’ve chosen to volunteer this Christmas because I want to give my time and energy to support those who need it most. I’ll be volunteering on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Boxing Day—three days that are especially difficult for people without a home. Through Crisis, I’ll be able to make sure that, even for just a few days, they have access to warmth, food, and the care they deserve.
How You Can Help:
I’d be so grateful if you would consider supporting this fundraising campaign. I’m aiming to raise £1,000 to help Crisis continue its vital work over the Christmas period and beyond. Your donation will go directly to Crisis and will help them support people who are homeless—not just during the festive season, but throughout the year.
Please donate if you can, and share this page. The more people who hear about this cause, the more we can make a real impact. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to creating a world where no one has to face homelessness alone.
Thank you for taking the time to read this page and for your support. This Christmas, let’s show that kindness, compassion, and generosity can make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.
