Story
In 2024, our goalkeeper, Joe, was diagnosed with cancer. This came as a huge shock to us all. Ever since discovering this news, Velindre Cancer Centre have provided specialist treatment and supportive care to him. Joe is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
As our way of showing support, a few of us at Cwrtrawlin Football Club have agreed to shave our heads in support of our teammate and friend Joe. Additionally, some teammates, family and friends are also running the Caerphilly 10km in May 2025.
Velindre, the Hospital of Hope has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients and families for over 65 years. Please join us in raising money for this fantastic charity. Money raised for Velindre Charity helps fund ground breaking research and clinical trials, cutting edge treatments, specialist nurses, support services, therapies, equipment and so much more which are above those provided by the NHS – so donations really do have a significant impact on patients and their families.
Your donation will allow Velindre to continue to provide Hope for the future.
