On 6th March 2025, I will be joining a team of dedicated individuals on an extraordinary journey - the Trek Kilimanjaro for 1625 Independent People. This incredible challenge aims to raise funds for a local Bristol charity called '1625 Independent Bristol' https://www.1625ip.co.uk/, which is committed to providing young people with safe housing, trusted support, and access to opportunities they deserve.

Our adventure begins at Machame Gate, where we will embark on a ten-day trek towards the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro - the highest free-standing mountain in the world, towering at an astonishing 5,895 meters above sea level. Throughout our journey, we will traverse breath-taking forests, traverse challenging ridges and valleys, and ultimately reach the snow-capped peaks of Africa's majestic roof. This expedition is not without its challenges. We will face sub-zero temperatures and grapple with high altitudes that test our physical and mental endurance. However, it is precisely these obstacles that make this experience so profound and unforgettable.
