Story
I am running the Edinburgh half marathon to raise money for Brain Tumour Research. They are a charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research into finding a cure. Having lost my wonderful cousin Steven to a brain tumour just over a decade ago, I hope to raise funds to help find a possible cure for those who suffer now and in the future.
Those who know me well know that I do not exercise often which will make this a very challenging feat that will require serious dedication over the next few months. Myself and my flatmates decided to participate in the half marathon to not only improve our personal fitness but also use this as a vehicle to raise money for causes important to us.
I will be using Strava to track my progress building towards the marathon for those interested in seeing how I progress over the next few months.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
Original goal of £250 smashed on the first day, thank you everyone!
