Story
Hello all,
So I decided a while ago that it was time to give a little something back to charity, and this year Listers who I work have nominated Macmillan Cancer Support as there chosen Charity. I jumped at the chance to raise some money for this charity.
So this year on the 20th July I will be attempting to walk 26.3 Miles over the peak district, Now I'm not into cardio fitness at all, But what could possibly go wrong?
I am sure with the support of the people who will be around me on the day, the thought of friends and family who have suffered from this horrible disease and the thought of you lot sponsoring me and not wanting to let ANYBODY down. I will come out on top.
There are now more than three million people with cancer in the UK. That means millions of lives have been turned upside down in thousands of different ways. Macmillan supports people, whether that is lending an ear, trying to find better ways to help people with cancer or helping to bring forward the day when everyone gets life-transforming support from day one.
Macmillan is a national charity, but their impact can be seen locally. They are in our hospitals and in the community. Macmillan is doing whatever it takes, but without your help, they can’t support everyone who needs it.
So guys, Please give generously and lets get all the people out there suffering the help and support that they all need. Oh and think of the pain this walk will put me in for the following days after.
Thanks all
