Story
From wheelchair to marathon…
Despite being hit by a car while out for a run and breaking many, many bones in my body - I have decided to put the running shoes back on and take on the 2025 London Marathon to raise money for Mind.
Despite being a keen runner in the past I’m starting from scratch for this one - getting marathon ready after a broken pelvis and spine issues will take a lot of commitment and patience and any donations will help provide motivation, support and encouragement along the way!
Whilst I won’t use this forum to go through my personal experiences I know that mental health is something that is very close to all of our hearts - both for ourselves and for those we love.
Mind is an incredible charity. When you're experiencing a mental health problem, supportive and reliable information can change your life. That's what Mind do. They empower people to understand their condition and the choices available to them through the following:
-Their Infoline, which offers callers confidential help for the price of a local call.
-Their Legal Line, which provides information on mental health related law to the public, service users, family members/carers, mental health professionals and mental health advocates.
-Their award-winning information, certified by the PIF Tick.
Please give anything you can to help support such a worthwhile cause!
