I'm running for research!
I'm running Cardiff Half Marathon in October 2025 to support Cardiff University's cancer research. As a PhD student in cancer research, I am passionate about the value of research and progression of the field to ultimately improve the lives of those affected by cancer.
According to cancer research UK, there are around 385,000 new cancer cases each year. That’s why I will be running 385,000 meters (385km) in the months leading up Cardiff Half Marathon, hoping to raise at least £385 for cancer research at Cardiff University.
Cancer researchers at Cardiff University are improving outcomes for people living with some of the most common cancers such as breast, prostate and bowel, as well as those that are rarer or hard to treat. The funds raised will help to accelerate life-changing discoveries to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment for people living with cancer.
