LUEC's fundraiser for Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance

LUEC's 12 Hour Scuba Dive Marathon at Stoney Cove · 16 April 2025
Leicester Underwater Exploration Club was founded in 1958 and has enjoyed diving locally at Stoney Cove in Leicestershire many times over these years. As a club we feel very lucky to have this service in our area and would like to show our appreciation by giving something back. We will be diving in buddy pairs from 8.30am to 8.30pm, for this period there will always be 2 of our qualified club members under the water taking it in turns, a total of 20+ divers, to ensure safe diving for a good cause.
The local air ambulance Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland is helping to save lives. Their critical care teams attend an average five rescues a day giving the very best chance of survival and recovery. The Critical Care Cars mean they can reach those who need them 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The charity receives no government funding for its daily missions.
Donations like ours will enable The Air Ambulance Service to meet the clinical needs of patients by covering operational costs to ensure all their vital services are ready to respond.
If you are able to make any donation to our event we would be extremely grateful. Thank you
