Fundraising for Stroke Association
In May 2016 my Dad had his first stroke and has had multiple since and numerous after effects that have caused problems with mobility, cognitive function, and symptoms of dementia.
My Dad is now having amazing care at the Sid Bailey care home but the effects of his strokes have caused so many problems for him and for my mother who was, until recently, his sole carer.
So, I'm taking on Skip for Stroke! I'm challenging myself to 15 minutes of skipping a day in February and raising money to rebuild lives after stroke.
Skip for Stroke is a fun way for us all to keep active and raise vital funds to help rebuild lives after stroke. Your fundraising can help in incredible ways:
• £150 could pay for a motion sensor to be used to study how to best support stroke survivors rebuilding their ability to walk.
• £250 could pay for one hour of Helpline activity, helping the families of stroke survivors support their loved ones after stroke.
• £300 could pay for an MRI scan that can help us better understand the brain of those affected by stroke
* Charities pay a small fee for our service. Find out how much it is and what we do for it.
