Story

I have now completed the Thames Oath and am off to the Sahara

I am walking the Thames Path in September and then will be walking 120km in the Sahara. I took part in a 50km walk a few years back and vowed never to do it again and now I am doing double, to say I am worried is an understatement but I will do it for the amazing doggies of Stokenchurch Dog Rescue.

3 weeks later I then fly to Morocco, to trek for 6 days in the Sahara. Please let my feet be ok!!

I take part in events like these to raise much needed funds for Stokenchurch Dog Rescue. The Rescue is independently funded so it is only kept running by these much needed donations. The Rescue is now 60 years old and has been giving dogs a second chance for all that time. We cannot change the world but for every dog rehomed we are changing their world!

About the charity

Stokenchurch dog rescue was originally formed by local residents in 1963 to save the lives of stray and unwanted dogs. We never destroy a healthy dog, believing that somewhere there is a kind and permanent home for every dog. We also take in and care for the sick, the old and the traumatised.
