Story
I’m not a runner, but I do love a challenge :) and the London Marathon has been on my bucket list for a while, but I’ve never had the guts to apply (approaching 40 has given me those guts!) I’ve really had to start from scratch, my first run was 2.5miles when I started training and I remember thinking (still think!) how the heck I am ever going to run 26miles! Training is tough, I’ve put in a few hundred miles and the dark, cold winter is not the best incentive!
BUT…being able to raise money for Action Medical Research for Children is great motivation! They are an amazing charity with a mission to save and change children’s lives through medical research, developing treatments, vaccinations and cures. They have been funding research for over 70 years which has helped to beat polio, fight meningitis, prevent stillbirths and develop ultrasound scanning in pregnancy, all helping to save thousands of children’s lives.
There’s nothing more cruel than a child being seriously ill, I’m so happy to be able to support such a good cause.
Please, please sponsor me, whatever you can afford. Every £ helps!!
