Story
✨ We are so very sorry to announce that my beautiful Dad, Stephen Parkinson, passed away on Saturday 28th September 2024. ✨
He passed peacefully at home after suffering with his mental health. He was, and has always been so courageous and brave. Please take comfort in the fact that he is not in pain anymore.
As a family we are truly devastated. A loss so irreplaceable. Bonds that are so special and will be cherished forever. I know he may not be with us physically, but he will forever be with us all in our thoughts and hearts.
If you would like to make a donation, the family’s chosen charity is Positive Futures, a local charity based in Lancaster and Morecambe who support those with a range of mental health needs. Their experienced team are available to lend a listening ear, help develop people’s skills, and support those in times of crisis through their crisis café. Their Lancaster district hub and community space is situated at White Cross Industrial Estate.
My Dad was very fond of Positive Futures and the people involved with this incredible charity. My Dad’s core values were always about giving to others and acts of service. He truly believed in helping others and I know he will be extremely happy about helping Positive Futures to continue the amazing work they do.
I wanted to express how important it is to continue to talk about mental health struggles. There should be no shame or embarrassment for those struggling. It is at times of our lives where we all struggle, life is certainly a rollercoaster of emotions. When things just feel a bit much, for which they can for us all, please reach out to anyone for support. A listening ear, empathy and a warm hug can go along way.

Thank you for all the lovely memories. I know how many lives he touched, and we will continue to look back on your kind words about Dad / Stephen.
All our love xx
