Standing at 4,167m Mount Toubkal is the highest mountain in North Africa. For some reason we have decided to climb it!
The trek will take place in June 2024, in the meantime I will be doing a range of challenges to try to raise as much money as possible for this amazing cause. Watch this space!
You may be asking why I'm doing this? Well, a few years ago I had a tumour between my heart and lungs, fortunately it was benign and this summer I had (hopefully) my final procedure, meaning that chapter of my life is behind me. So not only am I climbing this mountain to prove something to myself, but also to raise money for those who aren't as fortunate as me.
Marie Curie is an amazing charity supporting anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever they are, Marie Curie are there with them to the end.
Every 5 minutes someone dies in the UK without the care and support they need. Marie Curie wants to change this.
The average age that someone experiences their first bereavement in the UK is 20, making it all the more important for university students to provide their support.
