Story
This year I lost my Mum to cancer. In the last weeks of her life she was cared for by the incredible team at a Marie Curie Hospice in Bradford. The team were compassionate, caring and supportive of all of us. I cant imagine how we would have coped with those final weeks without them.
Those of you who know me well will know that I am not a natural athlete! The most I had ever run before signing up to this challenge, in a moment of grief stricken madness, was 5k. Please, please, please donate in support of Marie Curie and in disbelief that I have signed up to do this!!
On Sunday 8 October , the #TeamMarieCurie runners will be taking to the Royal Parks of London and running a half marathon in aid of Marie Curie. All the money that is raised helps Marie Curie Nurses provide vital care and support to people with terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.
£20 pays for one hour of vital nursing care at home for someone living with terminal illness.
£57 pays for an hour of clinical support from an expert nurse via our support line.
£180 pays for a whole night of care from a Marie Curie Nurse.
